With primary lithium cells, CHESTER operates autonomously for 3+ years. It also supports rechargeable batteries, solar panels, and permanent 24 V DC / 230 V AC supply, depending on the deployment requirements.

Can CHESTER survive harsh outdoor and industrial conditions?

Yes. CHESTER carries IP67 protection, operates from -20 to +60 °C, and is field-proven down to -40 °C in Canadian winters. It is CE/FCC certified for set-and-forget deployment.

Do I have to write firmware, or are ready-made applications available?

You can deploy a catalog application - such as Clime, Current, Meteo, Push, wM-Bus, or Control - with no coding. For custom needs, the open Zephyr-based SDK gives you full source access to build your own firmware.

How do I manage CHESTER devices and access their data?

HARDWARIO Cloud handles device management, user-defined callbacks, and a REST API, and you can configure devices in the field over Bluetooth with the HARDWARIO Manager app. Data integrates with platforms like ThingsBoard or your purpose-built applications.
