FIBER is a robust IoT device with embedded Linux, designed for accurate measurement of temperature and other variables in industry. It allows you to combine wireless sensors (868 MHz) and wired 1-Wire sensors via eight independent ports.
Data is sent via LAN, WiFi, or LTE and can also be processed, stored, and displayed locally thanks to the integrated web interface. A backlit display with buttons and audible signaling is available.
Measurement in storage tanks is a big topic across agriculture. For example, measuring the bin level of wheat, corn, and other types of crops is very common. This makes it possible to know precisely how much is in the bin, allowing for better planning of subsequent supply or monitoring of the commodity due to online commodity exchanges.
Similarly, water in storage tanks or other liquids can be monitored. For rainwater harvesting, for example, it is beneficial to know how much water can be harvested at which times of the year, as this can be used to plan for possible expansion of storage tanks or to plan cash flow for water purchases, especially for larger farms where water consumption is high. Such a reservoir does not necessarily have to be a closed container because, with CHESTER Range, you can measure the water level in a pond or artificial reservoir.
A separate category of reservoirs is waste pits. These are polluted environments where robust sensors are needed. Ultrasound is an excellent choice in this respect. Measuring a sump is not just information for the owner of the sump. However, in the case of online monitoring, which is passed on to the companies that deal with the export of sumps, the export route can be planned as efficiently as possible, and, as a result, all involved can save money.
A completely different area where distance measurement can be used is monitoring natural areas and their displacement. This could be, for example, monitoring the height of snow for avalanche analysis. With CHESTER Range, critical areas can be observed very well and know in time if the snow cover in specific areas increases above the risk level.
In hospitals, it monitors conditions in refrigerators and cooling boxes, displaying temperatures and ensuring safe storage of medicines and vaccines.
In retail, it checks temperatures in storage rooms, fridges, and display coolers to keep perishable goods fresh and safe.
In substations, data centers, and server rooms, it tracks temperatures to protect equipment and detect faults early.
In industry, it measures machine temperatures like motors and switchboards to detect overheating and plan maintenance.
In labs and technical schools, it supports practical IoT and SCADA training and research on temperature effects.
FIBER supports connection via Ethernet, WiFi, or LTE, ensuring easy integration into existing network infrastructure. This makes it the ideal choice for environments where reliable and fast communication is required. FIBER also offers ISM Radio 868 MHz for communication with STICKER LoRa sensors for remote temperature, humidity, and motion readings.
The device is equipped with a clear display with backlighting and LED indicators for each input, providing an immediate overview of current temperature values and system status. The user-friendly interface enables quick decision-making and efficient monitoring.
We offer fully integration into ProXimos system. Here you have all visuallisation, data aggegation, and managment of devices.
FIBER uses the MQTT protocol for reliable and secure real-time data transmission. This makes connecting temperature sensors to the cloud or your system easy without complicated configuration. Thanks to TLS support, data transmission is encrypted and ready for deployment in industrial environments.
