Firmware updates with FOTA
FOTA stands for Firmware Over The Air. It allows you to update firmware anytime and from anywhere. No physical connection is needed. Just upload the new version to HARDWARIO Cloud and assign it to a specific device; the system will handle the rest.
CHESTER downloads the firmware in the background while continuing to measure and send data. The device safely reverts to the previous version if issues occur.
Remote Shell for full control
Remote Shell lets you control and configure the device remotely. CHESTER communicates bidirectionally with HARDWARIO Cloud and operates as though directly connected to your computer, regardless of distance.
Configuration management includes uploading new files, adjusting data intervals, modifying alarms, and adding Bluetooth tags. Once the device receives the config, it restarts and applies the new settings. Invalid configurations trigger automatic rejection, returning the device to its last valid state.
Response times depend on the reporting interval, potentially requiring several minutes. Compared to on-site technician visits, this represents negligible delay with clear time and cost advantages.
